Strategies

SODECS was established with the aim to empower and enrich the rural community members with adequate capacity, skill and qualities to earn a better life. It has adopted the following approaches to the national agenda of decentralization and development outline in the local Self-Governance Act, the Poverty Reduction Strategy with stakeholders' needs and aspirations for Social, Political and Economic change;

a. Research, Training and Workshop

The organization undertakes research, training and workshop; and examines the cause and effect of the problems thoroughly. It also works with other like-minded organizations and stakeholders for analyzing and finding ways of solution to the problems. It strongly follows the lesson-learned approach.

b. Rural Infrastructure Development

It goes between for rural infrastructure development and mobilizes the community members for laying better effects towards planning and implementation of the projects. It also supports the community for maintaining and constructing rural roads, school, health posts and other matters of public interest and concerns.

c. Income Generation and Poverty Reduction 

SODECS is involved in Poverty Elevation through income generation activities such as Micro Enterprise Development Program and Cottage or Small Scale Industries. It enriches the community members with adequate capacity to enhance their economic standard. It gives support to the people living under extreme poverty and helpless who are lacking the access to the basic needs and facilities. It works as a catalyst for common people towards upgrading their economic standard.

d. Ability Capacity Development

SODECS works in the field of education, health, nutrition, clean drinking water and shelter intervening the stakeholders as per their needs. It attempts at developing skilled human resource. It assists the rural community members for making them able to create a better livelihood condition. It pays great attention in making the underprivileged and deprived women and children aware of their role and rights.

e. Socio- Cultural Capacity Development

The organization encourages social participation to the community members and deprived or underprivileged women and children towards developing their abilities. It assists and facilitates them so as to enable them for protecting the existing socio-cultural values. It creates better and complete understanding of their norms and values among them and assists them for promoting the creative values.

f. Environment Conservation

SODECS believes in healthy flora and fauna for making the Mother Nature a beautiful and healthy place to live on. For this we avoid bad impacts of deforestation by afforestation and by planting herbs, shrubs and trees on barren land. By this SODECS plays a vital role in Environment Conservations and balanced eco-system. SODECS launches different programmes at different places, like plantation, public awareness etc. evolving local agencies, schools, +2 collages, noted figures and general people.

g. Social Inclusion 

SODECS focuses on social inclusion by bringing the socially excluded people in the main stream. Untouchable cast, tribes, divorced, role widows and widowers, downtrodden, marginalized ones and so on are taken to core stream of the country by including them in the society with their self-esteem. For this the organization launches many training/programmes time to time at different places of the country.
